Batman and Robin receive intelligence suggesting Commodore Schmidlapp, proprietor of the Big Ben Distillery, is in peril aboard his yacht. Acting swiftly, they deploy the Batcopter for a rescue operation. As Batman descends via the bat-ladder to reach the vessel, it inexplicably vanishes, leaving him suspended above the sea. Emerging from the water, he is confronted by a shark gripping his leg. Utilizing bat-shark repellent, Batman successfully dislodges the creature, which subsequently explodes. Returning to Commissioner Gordon's office, the duo analyzes the incident and determines that the distress signal was a deliberate ploy orchestrated by the United Underworld. This nefarious alliance comprises Gotham City's most formidable adversaries: the Joker, the Penguin, the Riddler, and Catwoman.
