Two years ago, a 10-year-old prodigy named Hiroki Sawada, residing in the United States, tragically ended his life after completing an advanced artificial intelligence project called "Noah's Ark." On that fateful day, he neatly placed his shoes at the edge of a building before jumping to his death. Fast forward two years, an innovative gaming system named "Cocoon" was unveiled during a presentation at the Beika City Hall. Resembling a silkworm cocoon, the device allows players to immerse themselves in historical simulation games within their dreams, providing an unprecedented level of realism. Among the attendees were Conan Edogawa, Ai Haibara, and the Junior Detective League. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, Thomas Sindora, a prominent software magnate, committed murder by killing Kazamura Tadaaki, the developer and lead designer of "Cocoon." Following the act, Sindora implanted a virus into the system. With his final breaths, Kazamura managed to type "J.T.R." on the keyboard before succumbing to his injuries.
