In Tokyo, Officers Sato and Takagi engaged in a high-speed car chase with a robber, culminating in Sato skillfully cornering the suspect's vehicle and flipping it over. Upon apprehension, the robber muttered cryptic phrases like "Kami-shima" and "Jolly Roger" before losing consciousness. The following day, guided by Kogoro Mouri, Conan, Ran, Sonoko, Professor Agasa, and the Detective Boys traveled to the picturesque Kami-shima, a Pacific island renowned for its legends of an underwater palace and the treasure of 18th-century female pirates Anne Bonny and Mary Read. Unable to secure hotel accommodations, they opted for a local inn and encountered a group of treasure hunters. Intrigued by the island's lore, Conan and the Detective Boys joined a treasure hunt organized by the tourism department, while Ran and Sonoko indulged in diving activities. Meanwhile, Kogoro spent his time at a bar.
