In 2020, Manu Randhawa, a middle-aged woman, absconds from a hospital in London and seeks legal assistance from Advocate Puru Patel, an immigration lawyer, to secure a visa for traveling to India. Puru explains that obtaining an Indian visa would be highly improbable due to her prior asylum claim, wherein she had testified that her life was under threat in India. Resolute in her desire to return, Manu reconnects with her former partner, Hardy, in Punjab after 25 years. Hardy, now an aging athlete, prioritizes the call over his ongoing competition and agrees to assist her. Manu proposes meeting him in Dubai, as her legal constraints prevent her from traveling directly to India. Accompanied by her associates, Buggu Lakhanpal and Balli Kakkad, Manu embarks on a flight from London to Dubai, initiating her plan to reunite with Hardy and navigate her return to India through unconventional means.
