In 1965, Ahuja and his team, including the skilled yet protocol-defying pilot T. K. Vijaya, known as Tabby, were stationed at the Adampur Airbase. Tabby shared a mentor-student bond with Ahuja, who saw reflections of his late brother Monu in him. Their senior, David Lawrence, informed them of Pakistan's enhanced military capabilities, having acquired 12 Star Striker fighter planes from the United States. Acting on intelligence about a potential attack, David assigned Ahuja to conduct a reconnaissance mission across the border at significant personal risk. Accompanied by Tabby, Ahuja ventured into enemy territory and discovered a substantial cache of weapons and artillery. Despite being detected by Pakistani forces, Tabby successfully captured photographic evidence of the arsenal, fulfilling their mission under high-pressure circumstances.
