Jaishnavi, a 65-year-old widow from a small town in Gujarat, sustains herself by preparing and selling homemade pickles. After years of limited contact, her son Ketan, who resides in Mumbai, extends an invitation for her to visit his home. Upon her arrival, Jaishnavi learns that Ketan and his family are departing for a vacation in Darjeeling, leaving her with the responsibility of looking after their pet dog, Jenny.
