Producer Jayesh Patel acquired the rights to remake the 2023 Malayalam hit film *Romancham* and enlisted Sangeeth Sivan as the director for the project. The film featured Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade in the lead roles, marking significant reunions for both actors with the director—Kapoor after 19 years since *Kya Kool Hain Hum* and Talpade after 18 years since *Apna Sapna Money Money*. Tragically, Sivan passed away in May 2024 while the film was still undergoing post-production. Despite this setback, the team worked diligently to complete the project, ensuring that Sivan's vision was honored. The film was ultimately released on 23 May 2025, serving as a testament to the dedication of the cast and crew in bringing the remake to fruition.
